Cold play Iconography

Coldplay - Indie. This is because of their use of bright colours, soft rock.

Coldplay's products appeals to a target audience because of their use of graffiti/colours which appeals to youths, who are commonly associated with graffiti.  The symbols they use are very repetitive, in order to create a brand image, one thats easily recognisable and familiar to people.

They have created synergy across three platforms by the recurring theme of graffiti and similar colours, used in their music videos, websites and album covers. Particular shapes and symbols are also repeated within their videos, album cover and website e.g. constant use of the spiral shape. They use imagery from the graffiti wall they created for their album cover in all forms of media that they promote themselves in.
